What we keep
- Your email address, to sign you in with a code and to send you mail about your account and your sheets.
- For each child, a first name or a nickname, and how you set them up: level, practice days, numbers and their own words.
- The sheets you plan, the marks you give them, and your settings (paper size, week start, time zone).
- Your plan and your payments.
Children
The app is for parents. For a child we ask only for a first name or a nickname. No birthdate, no photos, and no sign-in for children. Children work on paper and do not use the app.
Payments
Stripe takes the payments. You type your card on Stripe's page, and Stripe keeps it, not us. Stripe also asks for your address, to work out the tax.
We send our email through PostShiba: your sign-in codes, and mail about your account and your sheets.
No ad tracking in the app
There is no ad tracking inside the app.
Our homepage, mysimpleschooling.com, uses the Meta Pixel to see which ads work. When you start a free trial or buy a plan, the app tells Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram) about the sale: your email address and account number in scrambled form, the price, your browser's internet address and type, and the codes Meta's Pixel left in your browser on our homepage, if there are any. Nothing about your children.
Cookies
The app uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember how you like to see your week. Before you sign in, “Try it first” keeps your set-up in your own browser.
Who can see it
You, and the people who run My Simple Schooling, when they help you. The app runs on Railway's servers; Stripe and PostShiba see what they need for payments and email.
Removing your data
To have your family's data removed, write to hello@mysimpleschooling.com from the email address you sign in with. We remove it and tell you when it is done. Stripe keeps its own records of payments.
